We are excited to announce that, despite challenges related to the current pandemic,
the Taghkanic Chorale begins virtual rehearsals on September 8, 2020. Singers who are interested can participate in a virtual choir performance planned for December, 2020. As always, we welcome all singers to join us!
The theme for the fall season is Hope & Healing, and includes works by classical and
modern composers, for both full chorus and smaller ensembles.

“And the Glory of the Lord” and “Hallelujah Chorus” from G. F. Handel’s Messiah

Of course, the safety of our singers is paramount, and all rehearsals and performances will adhere to applicable health guidelines from the CDC and New York State.
Rehearsals will be held remotely via Zoom on Tuesdays 7:30–9:00 PM, beginning 9/8/20 and will include a vocal warm-up, discussion of vocal technique, questions and answers with our music director, and even a conversation with one of the composers.
Phone 914-440-3596 for information on how to attend one of our Zoom rehearsals.
Smaller ensembles will be limited to no more than eight singers. Those rehearsals will be
conducted outdoors or in large, well-ventilated interior spaces, appropriately spaced. There will be three rehearsals for small groups on Sunday afternoons, each no longer than 30 minutes as stipulated by the guidelines.
