American Echoes
Choral Gems and Masterworks
The Spring program explores the rich tapestry of American choral music from early New England hymnody to modern masterworks. It features the bold harmonies of William Billings, Randall Thompson’s iconic The Last Words of David and his stirring Testament of Freedom along with contemporary favorites including James Mulholland’s A Red, Red Rose, Morten Lauridsen’s Prayer, and James Erb’s Shenandoah, concluding with Florence Price’s powerful cantata Abraham Lincoln Walks at Midnight, a moving musical portrait of Lincoln’s enduring moral legacy.
Concerts are on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, May 2nd and 3rd at 4 pm at Scarborough Presbyterian Church, 671 Scarborough Road, Briarcliff Manor, NY. Tickets at the door or online at: https://taghkanicchoraleS26.rsvpify.com.
