Mr. Fox recently made his debut conducting the Handel and Haydn Society in Boston (called “stunning” by The Boston Globe), and with Juilliard415 at Lincoln Center (‘Exceptional” by Seen and Heard International), and the Fundaciòn Excelentia in Madrid.
Since he began as Artistic Director of Clarion in 2006, Mr. Fox has taken the Clarion Orchestra and Clarion Choir to Lincoln Center on the White Light and Scope Festivals, Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Brooklyn Academy of Music, the Miller Theatre at Columbia and the Morgan Library; he has garnered critical praise from The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The New Yorker, Seen and Heard International, Musical America, BBC Music Magazine and the Boston Globe.
Steven graduated a Senior Fellow with High Honors from Dartmouth College and with Distinction from the Royal Academy of Music, London, where, in 2010, he was named an Associate. He has given master classes and clinics at Dartmouth College, Juilliard and Yale University.
For more than 40 years the Taghkanic Chorale has been performing masterworks of classical choral music and serving talented singers and enthusiastic concertgoers from Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Rockland and Orange counties and the mid-Hudson Valley. A non-profit, non-sectarian, community-based volunteer chorus, the Taghkanic Chorale presents concerts in the beautiful, historical Trinity Church Ossining as well as the classic Presbyterian Church of Mt. Kisco, home to a magnificent new Beckerath organ.
The Taghkanic Chorale' December concert features the full choir led by Conductor Steven Fox with acclaimed soloists and chamber orchestra from New York City.
